Resilience and Learning in Health Organizations in the Wake of COVID-19

November, 2021
National Healthcare Group (Singapore) Leadership Moments Series

The COVID-19 pandemic has forever reshaped how we work, learn, and lead in healthcare organizations. Yet, it also provides an instructive case study from which we can draw important lessons for adapting and responding resiliently to future crises or periods of uncertainty in our organization. Discussing recent research on how individuals, teams, and organizations have adapted their strategies for learning in the face of the pandemic and other large-scale challenges, this session will highlight: 1) the value of adaptive and social learning practices for resilient performance in health care, and 2) strategies for leaders to enact novel learning practices in their own teams or units dealing with novel, fast-changing and highly-uncertain conditions.
